POST COMPANY
Post Company is a Brooklyn design studio working across architecture, interiors, and objects, known for spaces like Scribner’s Catskill Lodge and The Lake House on Canandaigua. They design with an architect’s attention to detail, where the meeting of metal and glass, the width of an opening, becomes the whole experience. Fente is Post Company's third lighting collection with Roll & Hill, following Bell and Delta.
"We wanted to explore how a stark, architectural form could take on some of the qualities of jewelry: a precision and delicacy of detail that gives the pure cylindrical form a softer, more atmospheric presence."
THE NAME IS FENTE
Jou-Yie Chou of Post Company breaks down Fente; the meaning behind its name and the details that define it.
FENTE
SCONCE
The wall-mounted form, available in single and double. Light filters through the vented slits and the ribbed glass within, for a soft, even wash.
FENTE
PENDANT
The suspended form, in single, double, and quad configurations, at home above a nightstand, kitchen island, dining table, or wherever you need it.
“A hard shroud breaks the light into narrow bands; the glass softens it again. It glitters like a pearl within a shell.”

ALL IN THE DETAILS
For Post Company, it starts with form. But the beauty is in what you don’t see: the details, the engineering, the thought behind a seemingly simple fixture. That’s where our work begins. We engineer every element and assemble each piece by hand, so a simple fixture holds up to a closer look.
