Bower Studios
for roll & Hill
Bower is a New York City-based studio with a multidisciplinary approach to contemporary design. Led by partners Danny Giannella and Tammer Hijazi, the studio’s work spans furniture lighting and accessories, but its defining focus has always been mirrors; objects the founders believe are more closely tied to consciousness than anything else we live with.
Through a free-thinking, experimental process, Bower brings unexpected objects and environments into people's lives, with reflections taking center stage. That spirit of discovery runs through every collection, passed on to anyone who engages with a Bower design.
The name itself is a nod to the bowerbird, known for its instinct to build intricate, beautiful structures - a fitting reference for a studio whose work has always been about creating something worth a second look.
“We love discovering what's possible through different creative synergies. It's like cooking in someone else's kitchen, or inviting them into yours."
The Playful precision of
Bower studios
In their own studio, Danny and Tammer cut their own glass and work by instinct, chasing a shape until it feels right. References pile up around the room, each one waiting its turn to become the next thing.
Fringe
A mirror you catch looking back at you. Fringe grew out of Bower's interest in objects that feel almost alive; abstract enough to read as pure decoration, with just enough personality to hold your eye a second longer than a mirror usually does.
"Seeing yourself in a mirror is already an intimate act. Adding a little character to the object makes it feel like it's looking back."
THE BIG BANG
It started with hair. Bower built a board of cuts and styles, pulled the shapes that kept catching their eye, and out of that came a collection of mirrors. Not the origin story you'd expect.
