Bec Brittain's Maxhedron is a study in material transformation through light and reflection. When off, the partly-translucent Maxhedron reflects and blends with its environment; when on, the dazzling inner constellation of bulbs projects bands of light onto nearby surfaces.

Designer Feature
Bec Brittain studied industrial design at Parsons, earned a BA in philosophy from New York University, and received an architecture degree from The Architectural Association in London. Bec draws from these different modes of thinking and making to create relationships between normally disparate elements. Her aim is to create work eliciting both an immediate sensual reaction, and a more gradual appreciation of a larger aesthetic concept. Located in Long Island City, Queens, Bec’s studio focuses on lighting design and custom projects. Bec has been featured in Architectural Digest, The New York Times, Elle Décor and Dwell. Her work can be seen in commercial and residential projects across the world.
