Rooted in Christopher Merchant’s ceramic practice, Veil was born from a fascination with translucent porcelain. Slipcast and unglazed, each tile carries the natural variation of the ceramic itself. The fixtures deliver a warm, handmade quality with two tiers of tiles that reveal the depth of the material. Designed to be versatile, Veil can work in any space or project.

Designer Feature
Christopher Merchant is a designer and maker based in Brooklyn, New York, where he produces an experimental, material-focused collection of furniture, lighting, and objects. After training as a woodworker he has expanded his practice to include a broad range of materials, drawing upon the fundamentals of material, form, and detail and driven by free curiosity.
